Description
Restless, stumpy-tailed warblers, with relatively long, slender decurved bill. They appear almost tail-less in the field, actively and nimbly hopping along twings branches and trunks, investigating crevices, dried up leaves etc. and often joining mixed-spcies flocks. Thye have strong legs and are able to hang upside down while probing cracks in the bark of a tree.
They are generally monogamous, the nest, suspended from a tree, a deep purs of plant fibers bound with spider web and decorated with cocoons, bark, flowers, skeletonised leaves or seedheads. They lay a clutch of 2 speckled eggs . Incubation and care of the young is done by both parents.
