Bibron's thick-toed gecko

Appearance
Large. Body stout. Triangular head with powerful jaws. Skin rough with numerous keeled tubercles. Tail segmented with whorls of spiny scales. Back grey with white spots and 4 - 5 distinct dark crossbands (more distinct in juvenile). Nocturnal. Lives mainly among rocks but also enters houses. Forms large colonies. Bite painful but not toxic.
